And I’m afraid I’m not alone in this dilemma either. Considering many have multiple files and dependencies, this was quite the endeavor. My script mods used to be strewn haphazardly across a few folders which I have to sift through after each patch update. Considering hundreds of these items are mods, which often need to be individually updated, patch day can be a bit of a nightmare. Optional: the above files can also be further sorted into subfolders like hair, clothes, houses, etc.I have a whopping over 25 GB strong mods folder and I know I’m not alone.Basic custom content file types like packages, trayitem, and blueprint can also be placed in the Mods folder. If the custom content was archived into ZIP or RAR files, extract them into the Mods folder.Open a file browser or search and navigate to the Sims 4 mod folder: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods.Players can also preemptively make this folder themselves if they want to immediately start a fresh installation with custom content or mods. On subsequent playthroughs, this folder will be where saves, and custom content will be stored. When the Sims 4 is first launched, it will automatically create a new Electronic Arts folder on one’s computer.
